.
My HA's use 312's and I received a couple of dozen packages of icelltech's when I got my HA's. I've only been wearing them for several days but I wondered if there are preferences of one kind over another?

It will be a while until I need to order batteries . . . just doing some homework in advance.

Thanks!

My audi sells me a card of Starkey Brand #312's (brown code) - six batteries for $6.00.

I have been writing down when I change them and have been keeping track of use I get. I am averaging 12-13 days out of each of the Starkeys.

I tried a pack of eight (or ten, I don't recall) Duracell 312's and the most I got was 11 days out of them, with an average of about ten days. They had a good date, so it was not a matter of them being stored too long. I do recall they were about $1.25 or more each while my audi's Starkey are only $1 each!

So, I went to my audi last week and bought three more packs and a pack of ten open domes. My next visit will be some more Oticon WaxShields.

You probably have some more gain in the LF than the other poster because of different audiograms, so it's unlikely you will get quite as long out of batteries, there are more frequencies in total with gain on them, and if you have an in-ear model they will use more juice than an open BTE model because the ear is blocked by the hearing aid which has to be compensated for. I am a battery killer, when I had 312s they lasted about 2 days. Currently trying some 13 hearing aids and I got them on Thursday and already changed the batteries yesterday! I hope it's a fluke.

Aren't those iCell batteries made in China? I really like Renata batteries from HearSource.com (http://www.hearsource.com/product_hearing_aid_batteries.html). They were made in Switzerland , but recently are now being made here in the USA. I like buying "Made in the USA" stuff. 60 hearing aid batteries (http://www.hearsource.com/product_hearing_aid_batteries.html) for $29.99. That is .50 cents each. I have had no problems with them and I get about 13 - 14 days from them.

I agree about buying Made in the USA, Normandy! There seems to be so little that is actually made here so when I get the chance to do so, I do! Thanks for the heads up that Renata's are made in this country; I'll try them next time out. The iCells came with my HA's so I'll use them up.

Can hardly beat 60 batteries for $29.99 . . . . . specially if they're made in the U.S.A.!!

I get less battery life in a Phonak brand hearing aid than any other sort. Not sure why.

Wow, that's very good. I average about 8 days with the Oticon 312 batteries. Then again i get them free for 3 years so I guess I can't complain lol I also use streamer for phone and music which I guess can affect some, but even on weeks where I don't use it much I don't really go over 8 days usage(14-15 hours days average)

When I ordered my HA's (by the way, they are now in the audiologist's office, but I can't get them until Monday), the Starkey rep told me that the Walgreen batteries work well. Does anyone know anything about that?

I'm a BIG fan of Costco's batteries. The back of the package says the batteries are Rayovac.

I use the 312 size, and I get about 6-8 days out of them (depending on the demand I'm putting on them). For a pack of 30 batteries, I pay only $9.39.

At $0.31 per battery, I'm perfectly happy with how long they last.

I have been getting my Power One 312's from Amazon (localbattery.com) and pay around $18 for 60 with free shipping. I have even seen them as low as $14 but by the time you add the shipping it still comes out to around $18.
Been pretty happy with the Power One's.

I have been using 312 batteries for a long time in a number different aids.
Its been my experience that I have found little difference between the high dollar audi provided batteries , mid dollar drug store brand batteries or low dollar bulk ebay Chinese brand batteries. IN my current aid, My batteries last about 7 days regardless of brand.

When I can get 50-60 batteries for $18 on ebay vs $8 for a 6 or 8 pack at the drug store it an easy choice.

My new aid now takes 13's so I have to start stocking up on a second type of battery.

My wife helps me a lot on this. She is a big coupon clipper. She keeps me stocked up on store and brand coupons that often allow 2 for 1 deals. When I get those coupons, I stock up because it really drops the price of even the brands that are usually more expensive.

Someone posted about the Walgreens brand. Generally speaking, I havn't been able to really monitor the life because it is so dependent on what is happening. If I use my HA's a lot for listening to TV or am on the phone a lot using the Blu Tooth, or am in a noisy environment where they have to do a lot of processing such as supression or feedback control, the batteries don't last as long so I really do pay a lot of attention to it. The only exception is that it seemed like I was changing out the Walgreens batteries more often. I have generally have been using Everyready Energizer or Duracells

My audi sell only icell tech, so i used them some time. They are cheap and unreliable. Often i use new ones and they lasted only 3 days in my duals. I ordered rayovac from here and not 1 problem with half power since then. 7 day - stable.

I see varta make phonak ones and a lot other branded...

Sky King,
If you have a Costco near you try their batteries. In CA you can get 30 batteries for $9.39. They just dropped the price by 60 cents. I use #13's and I get 13 days out of them with using a streamer.

most of the talk is about battery life, but I've noticed sound quality difference when using various batteries. some people disagree with me on this.

I have Phonak Audeo Smart ix - 312 battery.

I've used a few brands. I bought a huge selection of PowerOnes- I was happy with them,
but I didn't really have anything to compare them with. I've tried Duracells regular and Mercury Free. The regulars were on par with the PowerOnes for sound quality. The Mercury Frees didn't seem to push my aid, sound quality was poor.

Recently, in a pinch, I bought a pack of cheap Walgreens zinc air- mercury free. Wow!
Music sounds terrific. Everything is natural and lifelike. Made in USA as well. As for the battery life, I can't say since I'm still on my first pair. Best battery yet, I'm not sure who the manufacturer is.

For their store brand, Walgreens uses an Asian manufacturer based in either Indonesia or Japan. So much for American-made :(

Quickdraw, I bought a small pack of the Walgreens brand today to try. 7.99 for 8. Usually use PowerOnes from localbattery.com or other internet sources, but I will give these a try.
