New member here. I'm 54 years old and have been wearing hearing aids for about a month. I have a pair of Siemens Pure 501 RIC with the Tek Connect device. Overall, I'm very pleased. I've had two followups with my audiologist and the volume is perfect now, but the fit is just OK. It seems like I'm always sticking my fingers in my ears to adjust them.
At first, the retention strap (you know, the "tail") would work it's way out of my ear kind of like an antenna. My audiologist trimmed them, but now the receivers don't feel deep enough.
And insurance has been just a little difficult. They only reimbursed for one hearing aid because they flagged the claim as a duplicate (since two of the same items were dispensed on the same day). I've called and customer service saw exactly what happened, but I need to wait another two weeks for that claim to be processed.
