The Deafness Research Foundation recently held a hair cell regeneration conference and posted the videos online. You can see them here: drf.org/hri
This conference was to launch what they call the Hearing Restoration Initiative - a collaboration among hearing researchers with the specific goal of curing deafness.
Scientists have promised "10 years" for a long time now when it comes to curing deafness, but it is exciting to see this level of collaboration.
