Is it safe to assume that once my hearing is gone in my right ear. That I could then get an implant so I hear again even though it is completely natural sounding. I ust had my test and word comprehension is down to 40%. I mainly rely on that ear for direction right now. It helps me find sound and understands a little. That is just a question that has had me wondering for a few days.

This would be a last resort...hearing aids should still be the best option for many years, most likely.

How is the hearing in you left ear???? If the hearing in your left is good then very few if any ENT's/Otologist's would implant the right ear.
