Hello..

Nice forum.. just found it today! :)

I currently have a single Widex Senso Diva.

It's pretty good, but its durability is poor. Any sweat or moisture in the aid after a while and it has to go back to the shop for repairs. The sounds are also a bit hollow for my liking.

I also have an one of those old analog NAL Super Front PP-SC aids which I have had since I was a child and it's still ticking with NO service at all. It's good for quiet areas but bad for outdoors and noisy situations.

I am looking at a new aid, as I have a very unusual loss, I am not sure of the actual numbers on the graph. (don't have it with me at the moment)

But when you look at it, it's like this (the reverse of most hearing losses)

I was looking at getting a widex Inteo BTE. Is there anyone else who has some experience with them or anyone with a similar hearing loss and can offer their suggestions and thoughts.

Thanks!

Matt

Reverse losses are more difficult to fit just right, particularly with many WDRC compression hearing aids that are widely available.

If you have a low frequency loss with good hearing with bone condution (air/bone gap), then more-so the WDRW instruments are not as good.

You may want to try a Phonak instrument with the DSC compression scheme for this type of loss.

Let us know how you do.

Hi

Sorry for my bad English. I also use the Widex Senso Diva and I am not satisfied at all (also have a low frequency hearing loss as you) My audi has recommended starkey 1600 power or phonak exelia and tells me that I will be very satisfied. 9:th of juni I will start my test period and I am hopeing for the best

Best regards
Kristian

How did the Starkey's work for you? I too have a reverse slope and have a really hard time getting a good aid. I have America Hears SIEs and I get lots of occusion (hollow sounding). If I correct for occusion I do not get amplification.

i wonder how would the naidias would work with you (if you are a candidate for this aid)
