I have narrowed down my search to the following units
Units:
Oticon Epoq

There has been quite a bit of discussion on those HA's on there. Do a search of each unit, and you'll find the good, the bad, and the ugly of each unit.

I'm not sure how much you'll find on the Pure though.

My choices are Exelia, Epoq & Widex (Inteo). I'm still reading but find that most threads talk about the icom, etc. As a potential new user, I'd prefer to hear about quality of hearing voices, especially children's voices. Are they all good, great, excellent? Anyone?

there is not much info on the Pure out there, but it seems the Pure and the epoq are very similar instruments from what I have heard.. Binarual sincronization of features, large bandwith, etc...

Both the Exelia and the epoq had been favorably review in the forum...

The only thing i dont like about the exelia is that it requires a special batery (this is so not right)...

But if you stock up it should not be an issue
