Gradually I am learning to tweak my own Phonak HI. I would truly appreciate assistance on the following questions:
1. I recently upgraded my Naida V software and saw the new option "Enable Easy Beeps" in addition to the previous "Enable Confirmation Beeps" in the configuration settings Anyone knows what the "enable easy beeps" does or it's purpose?
2. In automatic fine tuning, I read the solution to "not sufficently intelligible" problems to decrease compression ratio above 600Khz. How do I interpret the compression ratio in the IPFG software i.e. 1.6, 2. etc.. and does decreasing the ratio means decreasing the numerical value or the opposite? I have been researching about compression ratios and they are usually expressed as 2:1, 4:1 which is different from IPFG graph values. I learned that in a 2:1 compression ratio it means that a 10db input will get an additional 5 db gain output, so how do I interpret a 1.6 compression ratio in IPFG?
3. Is is good to use a mixed WDRC and DSC settings in Micropower V I currently use on my right ear? Currently it is set to WDRC.
Will truly appreciate the expert's opinions and advices :) Thanks.
