Ear fullness and loss of hearing in high frequency in one ear. Went to ENT and put on massive Prednisone, Valtrex, Omnaris, and Cefuroxime. Went for MRI and it came back normal. 7 days in on meds and no hearing improvement. 30 days in since original MRI! What else can I do? PLEASE HELP!

There seems to be some benefit in the early stages, to try pressurized chambers. I dont know the exact name of it but you sit in a chamber that has high pressure. If you experience an immediate improvement you would keep going back for more treatments. Sometimes it's a fistula between the fluid filled membranes of the cochlea. Once these fluids mix, it can cause all kind of hearing loss problems. I'm not an expert but I have done research on the topic and this is one of the areas that seems promising for sudden hearing loss. Time is of the essence though and must be done early on in the disease. Ask your Otologist about attempting this.
