Hi,
I'd appreciate advice on the added value of paying for a commercially available aid versus the Siemens Impact aid that is newly available on the English National Health Service. I had been looking at the Siemens Pure and Phonak Audeo YES IX prior to the change to NHS dispensing practice. Comparing the specs the Impact lacks the 'SpeechFocus, 'SoundBrilliance', 'TruEar' features and is limited to 8-12 channels. I have sensorineural loss at about 50-80 db across 500-4000Hz.
