hey,
I am 22 year old graduate student. I recently realized that have mild to moderate hearing loss ( I had trouble capturing/registering some words during lectures). I am confused on what hearing aid to go for. The audiologist says that the hearing I would need would depend on my activity. I am a little confused on what brand to go for. Any help in this regard is welcome and appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

You really haven't supplied any information for anyone to make a recommendation. Your hearing test results along with speech comprehension scores need to be posted. What brands did your audiologist recommend?

Additionally, explain a bit about yourself - What areas other than lectures give you a problem? Are you active? How concerned are you with appearance?
There are many "options" available too. So there's decisions to make there. Is insurance covering anything (most liikely not - but you never know). What state are you in (asking because there are certain laws about coverage).

One of the best suggestions would be to narrow down your search based on your hearing profile (audiogram, activities, difficulties, desires) and then try a few different ones (state will also tell us how long [if any] free trials are available.

Best of luck.

Hey. I myself have recently been trying to find the right hearing aid for me. This site is informative--it gives you the pros and cons of each hearing aid out there. In a perfect world I would get the Lyric, but my insurance prob wont cover it-prob too expensive.
