    matthewjones,
Sorry about the delay in responding. I moved and just never checked the site.
I purchased America Hears aids about two years ago. What a mistake. I have nothing good to say about America Hears aids. I had to send them back several times the first year for such things as shutting themselves off when there was a loud noise such as a car door slamming or my dog barking. They said they put a filter in the aids. If so, why? If it is a design problem, they should have offered to refund my money. If it was just a problem with my aids, they should have replaced them with good ones. The right one quit working at about fourteen months. I will not pay to have a defective aid worked on. The left one amplifies sounds but it also distorts to the point I cannot understand words. My insurance company will pay $1,000 per ear every three years. One year to go and I will just have to pay the difference and get better aids. I will be sure and try the Nadia IX. Thanks

I like Oticon Agiles a lot, but only the BTE style. But overall I prefer Cics...just can't seem to get a good fit this time around. I don't like Phonaks sound recovery so I'm trialling their Milo.

Are you adjusting to the switch to BTEs, because I hate them! They sound fine but feel very unnatural and I never forget they're there like I do with CICs!

I noticed that our audiograms are fairly similar...are you happy with your Starky CIC's? I trialled their OtoLens and found them tinny, but that could be the programmer. I also see you're moving from CIC's to BTE's? I'm trialling Oticon Agile BTE's now and they sound great. I don't like Phonak's sound recovery...it sounds bizarre and distorted. Please post your experience on the message boards...I'm interested in your opinion because I can't make up my mind on which aids to go with...thanks!
