    This is a new one on me. Since my loss is from nerve death, I'm always looking out for things like this. I pursued a promising therapy in England last year, but they informed me they were nowhere near ready for human tests yet.

    It's good to see that researchers are coming at a deafness cure through various methods. More approaches to hair cell regeneration could cause a deafness cure to come sooner.

    Of course they're not. These treatments are always "ten to fifteen years away" but when those ten to fifteen years come, it never happens.

    Anything in the pipeline now is at least 10 years away from the first trials, so don't get too excited.
