Thread: How to remember to take out hearing aids before putting in ear plugs

  1. Default How to remember to take out hearing aids before putting in ear plugs

I'm new to hearing aids? Before starting my lawn mower, I put in my ear plugs and find that they won't go all the way in....I forgot to take out my hearing aids. I'm also afraid that I will wear them while in the shower. I guess I need to put up some notes or tag my ear plug device.

I have gotten in the shower with my aids on once. Jumped out an dried them off then put them in the Dry and store for a cycle and they were ok. But I have also had issues with my aids and me sweating they have died a few times. You have not said if you have ITE or BTE aids.
I have ITC aids and when I mow all I have do is mute my mics and my aids become my ear plugs.

Chuck, I have BTE RIC Phonak Brio R312T HAs. I probably need to add that to my signature.

Good idea! I've been just muting my aids when I mow. With my loss I feel like I'm wearing muffs anyway. Still good to wear them though. Thanks!
