How long do these things normally last?

I use Ear Gear on my aids. For the first three years, they were send back every 3 months due to sweat. With the ear gear, I have not sent them back in 6 years. I found the ear gear cuts out wind noise and short hair noise. Would not use aids without them. Looking at new aids, and will be putting the gear on them. I also run them through a dryer every once in a while. The gear do not change the sound in the aids.

Only drawback is the gear get sweat smells that my dog likes, so have to keep them out of her reach.

I purchased a pair of hearing aid sweatbands. They don't fit great on my Siemens 7bx. I will probably modify them.

I don't use mine everyday, but often enough and I am still using the ones I bought 4 years ago.

Did you get the small slim size? Mine fit nice and snug

I'm convinced I need something to keep the sweat out of my aids. But which is better -- the HA Sweatbands or the Ear Gear ones? They seem very different. Just wondering if people could comment.

What would you recommend and what size will fit the Resound Cala BTE? I pick up my new ones tomorrow and I sweat a lot when working.

Update, still using my ear gear covers & they get fully soaked with sweat 3/4 times a week when I work out. I squeeze the sweat out of them after each workout & just throw them in my dryer every night with the ha's. 2 years with my alta pro's NO PROBLEMS.
