Default Struggling with better solution for TV

I'm a new hearing aid user, but have used TV ears for listening to TV for years. I thought the hearing aids would allow me to ditch the TV ears, but so far the TV ears are preferable. I have KS7s. They have a TV program that I've had tweaked to include a more narrowly directed mike and an increased volume compared to the other programs. It works most of the time, but if my wife coughs, it amplifies the cough to pretty distracting levels. Also, the dynamic range of the TV programs requires fairly frequent volume changes. The smart phone app is a little cumbersome for making frequent volume changes. The TV ears have a very quick and easy to use volume control. Curious if any of you have any better solutions for TV? If I went with a streaming device, would I have separate volume control over the streamed TV audio and ambient sounds? Thanks. Glad to have the forum back up and running.

A BT adapter coupled to a good BT transmitter or the all-in-one solution of their TV accessory. I use the former and it is better than TV ears.

Get the TVLink and easyTek.. solves your TV problem and also provides hands free phone if you need it to drive among others things.

Could also try the Tunity app if you a smartphone. The broadcast audio on many major channels will be synced with your phone and transmitted back to your aids if you wear the BT necklace.

I use an open HiFi headphones coupled to my music installation upon my HA, as with HA only I still have to higher up the volume way too much to my liking to understand speech. Besides I find the direct sound through the tiny TV speakers horrible.

Now I have perfect sound and without any listening effort. But I had hoped to be able to drop the headphones. And I am not sure that streaming will give the same good sound as HiFi headphones do.

Thanks. I think I'm going to try installing a Telecoil system. I can do it for somewhat less than a pendant and transmitter and I like the idea of the classic technology. People at Loop America are very helpful. Frequency range with Telecoil is supposed to be 100-5000
