    Default siemens 'pure', charger

Hello. If anyone has information on the charger for the pure aids, please advise me about how long the batteries will hold the charge.
If I have a long day, perhaps 16 hours, my aids close down. Anyone know if this is a common problem?
    Thanks.

Carry some extra 312 batteries. Those aids can use the rechargable or the standard.

I am using the rexton cobalt 16s which has the same charger setup. Mine lasted around 18 hours only when I 'ran them right down. I was surprised by how short a time that was. I am sure it could vary with the quality/brand of rechargeables you have.

Pure 700s then 701's with the charger; use about 14-16 hours daily. No problems so far, I likewise carry some 312s for backup.

The brand name of the rechargable batteries is "power one" ACCU plus
nickel-metal-hydride, (p312accu) A division of VARTA. Supposed to last at least 1 year.

Verify the instruments are sitting all the way to the bottom of the charging receptacle to ensure a matched connection when charging.

The lights on my charger quit blinking when the instruments are charged. One time I did not get one of them seated properly. The light for that side was still blinking while the other side that was seated properly had a solid light and a full charge in the morning.

Thanks everyone. Seems that 16 hours or so is the average for holding a charge. Pity.

I must admit that I am a hopeless gadget junky. When I purchased my 700's I just had to have the charger. I only got 14 hours plus or minus on a charge. My audi kept insisting that something was wrong and kept swapping out my charger and batteries. No change. Finally she contacted Siemens and they only claim to something like 12 hours.

Needless to say I use disposable batteries and find it more convenient to just change them once a week, (every Saturday morning).

I get free batteries for 3 years from my audi anyway.

I used the charger for about a year and found that the batteries would quit sooner and sooner, and that if I had to go past 8 or 9 in the evening with guests, the batteries would chime 'time to recharge.' I even programmed a power bar not to start charging them until 1 am as I always get up at 6. They take 5 hours to charge. It was such a pain that I just buy the throw-aways now and get almost two weeks out of a pair.
In any case, always open the HAs when you're not wearing them, the batteries last longer.

My batteries-the first year- were good for abt 11 hours on a charge and worked fine. Now my charger starts the green blinking for about 3-4hours then goes to solid red and stays there. Never goes to solid green. If I pull the plug and reinsert the plug it will blinks green again for about an hour and then goes red again. The batteries run the next day for about 6-7 hrs until I get the signal. Anyone know why the charger goes red after about 3 hrs. Bad charger? Bad batteries?

My guess would be that the batteries have reached the end of their life. They are only good for so many charges. If yours are over a year old I would ask the audiologist what the life of the batteries is.

Mine are only 2 months old but I wear mine for 16-18 hours a day and have never run them down. I don't have a bluetooth device yet so communicating with that may shorten the cycle.

I've been seeing a useful life of about a year with the SIEMENS 312 (Power One) rechargeables before they start dying earlier in the day. If you're experiencing this problem have your specialist inquire with SIEMENS about replacing the batteries. If it's been less than a year they (SIEMENS) might replace the batteries for you at no charge (they've done it for one of my patients).
