Need help with Bluetooth set up

Just got my new Bernafon hearing aid today and also the soundgate system. I was able to pair it with bluetooth, but I wanted to pair my Imac that has bluetooth with it and it can't find the device. can someone get me on the right track. the Tech/audiologists is fair at best even with the explanation of the H/A I purchased at Costco, the last tech there was awesome..so I need help from outside source. thank you.

iMAC you have to look up the top of the right say bluetooth
be sure you turn on your bluetooth soundgate first
then imac click on search imac bluetooth will note the bluetooth wireless from soundgate
enter the soundgate password

then you will get all set when imac find it

If it works like Octicon agails, Just briefly touch the button that does the pairing. You might find that this works rather than holding down on the button for a length of time.
