Default Humor in hearing loss
I've recently discovered that I have some moderate loss in the vocal range where my wife tends to speak. Now, before I go on you need to understand, my wife is 100lb soaking wet 5'6'' and at 27 could pass for 20. That said, it's been very humorous the last couple of days to hear her try to shout in her deepest "manly" voice from the other room when she need something... on the other hand... now I don't have a good reason to ignore her.

Years ago, I supplied an elderly gent with an in the ear hearing aid.
A few weeks later he came in and sheepishly asked for a replacement.
Needless to say, I enquired how he came to loose the almost new aid I had recently supplied.
What he then said, I didn't expect.
Apparently, he and his equally senior lady friend became rather intimate. During the ensuing passion, the extraction line on his aid caught in her false teeth and as she pulled away, she swallowed the hearing aid.
And no, I didn't offer to repair it!

LOL. Did the aid still work after it came out the other end? . Some of the new aids with nano coating are quite impressive
