I resigned from my part-time job early last month and left on the 27th, so I'm without work (and would have been anyway if I hadn't left).
Are you eligible for vocational rehabilitation services in state you live in? Sometimes this agency can help pay for hearing aids if it is needed for employment.

their PRO model is, I believe, Analog. Very positive reviews when it was sold on Amazon for a year or two.

I don't have the 220 in my database but I do the 440. Looking at the power/frequency response of the 440, its not as good as the E4 in the lower frequencies, but its the single best aid in my database for the higher frequencies. However, the Naida S V SP still is the one to beat overall. If 220 is enough power for you, I don't see why the Naida S wouldn't be as it fits slightly higher to 110. The I model probably costs a lot less than the V ($1599 discounted). Didn't you try the Naida S before? Yeah, we all know a digital Phonak sucks for sound quality but that was several generations ago. The current Spice+ platform could actually sound transparent for a change, who knows? I wanted to trial the Naida SP but even with BassBoost on, it wasn't going to fit my loss according to the rep (not sure if I really believe that or not but it wasn't worth the gamble to find out).

You should apply for SSI/Medicaid now that you're unemployed and make sure you indicate you are "disabled". My state's Medicaid gives out a $1500 yearly hearing aid benefit for everything but batteries, and they will cover the purchase of the lowest model of an aid, i.e. I not III or V. No need to fuss around with VR departments, you just deal directly with a participating audiologist.
