I was diving to a depth of 4 metres (only)
and coming back up within 45 seconds on each dive (no scuba gear) just in a swimming pool then I jumped in off a high diving board I landed funny on the left side of my body smacked my face\ear and left shoulder \ chest into the water from quite a high height anyway besides the fact that it hurt my left ear now doesnt work cant hear anything I waited for it to fix itself but nothing happened, still cant hear from my left ear and I have loud Tinnitus in my left ear only What shall I do any cures? |

Make an appointment with an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor) right away.
Dont' be worried, as things like this happen to many people. Your ENT will evaluate you and present your options. That is the best thing you can do for yourself. Keep us posted. Good luck! |

Be sure to tell the medical office that you call that this is a sudden hearing loss, usually those are treated with a little more urgency than a standard appointment. It is probably a conductive problem that is fixable, nonetheless, I wouldn't wait around on the appointment.

Yes, please see and ENT ASAP and tell them you need to go in right away. Hopefully it is conductive, but if it is sensorineural, then treatment should be started within 1 week, so time is of the essense!
