I agree with the OP... I see stories right on these pages, of continual failures occuring on aids less than a year old.. Multiple reciever replacements, cutting out , odd noises etc etc, from $6000 sets..
My widex 440 aids are falling apart, both have broken battery doors despite me being extremely careful with them.. the Phd audiologist/Tinnitus researcher I see at the University of Buffalo told me this happens constantly and she is forever sendng these VERY expensive aids back to Widex for recasing, and new battery doors... I am glad everyone here has great success, and NO issues with modern aids but A LOT do not.. my old Siemesn BTE [early digital around 2001] was built like a tank, and had NO roblems when I gave it away... The widex have been coming apart at the seams ever since . The OP is right on... bob
