Default Tinninitus after 1 hr trialling new HA

New here and have a question.
Just tried my 1st aid at Costco 3 days ago and liked it. But, afterwards my Tinn was louder than usual and persisted until today where it's dropping off a bit. I always have it, but it's louder than usual after the aid trial.
Is this normal?
I don't have the HA's yet, I pick them up Monday, so any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin

Your aids are set too strong. That is why the tinnitus.

You are more aware of the tinnitus. HA's give you more input, so when you take them out, the hair cells try harder to generate their own input. Analogy-- drug withdrawal. System gets used to it, and causes problems in the period of readjustment.

Default Thanks!

Thanks, I appreciate the replies. Obviously must mention this to the Audi. on Monday.
After more extensive reading here on the forums, it appears that the HAs can help reduce the ringing, or at least the noticable-ness of it.
This place is full of great info, and I want to thank those who help out us newbies.
Kevin
