i just found this article about hearing loss and how it affects household income in the US.
apparently, the unrealized household income due to hearing loss in the US is almost equivalent to the GDP of Vietnam!

I have a severe-profound hearing loss, and I'm totally not satisfied with hearing aids. But without them I can't hear anything, so I've got no option at this time. It's the only thing available. I wish there was a cure.
