Mt ears seem to be very productive when it comes to eax wax. I asked my Audi if there was a good way to minimize problems to my HAs from this - she suggested using a solution of 1/2 isopropyl alchohol and 1/2 vinegar to flush my ears every two to four weeks.
I realize the audi is not a doctor, so I wonder if any others here have heard of this treatment? I have tried drugstore remedies without much success.

The alcohol and vinegar mix is universally used by Scuba divers to prevent 'Diver's Ear' and is very helpful in not only keeping wax in check but also preventing yeast and mould infections from developing. The ear canal is a first rate habitat for spores to grow and multiply and send their little ones to school. This is what causes the intense pain that can develop from time to time.
I also have a squeeze bottle of Burrow's solution for ears (actually my dog's ears) that has this mixture plus it has a tiny bit of cortisone to prevent inflammation if there is an infection beginning to take root. I got it from my Vet, but it works just as well in humans.
