Default Newbe - Knows Nothing, Needs Help

My dad is 92 and has, what I believe is profound hearing loss. He has hearing aids but they have not worked very well and now one has quit completely. The hearing aids are analog because he was told that digital wouldn’t work for him. It appears I will need to buy him some new hearing aids and I want to make sure I get him something that will really work. I don’t think his current suppliers are trustworthy. They did loan him a trade in aid about a year ago that worked great but wouldn’t let him keep it and wouldn’t tell him the brand because they didn’t handle that brand. What is the best course of action for me right now? Thanks.

First thing to do is to find a hearing provider you and your dad are comfortable with. They should be able to provide you with options, and hopefully will let your dad listen to the aids before he has to buy them.
