I think the same, specially because phonak solution is simply to difficult to deal with.
I have a friend that dispenses the conect line with the phonak aids

IF it works. That's the issue. I want mine primarily for mp3 and cell phone and from what I've been reading here, those are the weak links. Plus, my audie said "No trial period". In that case, $450 is just a little too much money to risk for me.

They should have a demo unit set up at least to try in their office, the results speak for themselves.

For Phonak I prescribe Oticon connectline Phone (as the TV unit is not compatible due to auto pairing) and Voiis for TV. The Connectline works well as long as people are aware of the range issues with BT (10 meters).

I've been looking at the various bluetooth options out there (Oticon's Streamer, Phonak's iCom, and Unitrons uDirect) and using that as part of my consideration as to what model of HA I will get. Everything I see says that the Oticon only streams in mono so I would get the same audio in both ears rather than the stereo that the Phonak and Unitron devices provide. Is this correct? I love audio stuff and just can't bring myself to use a device that can't provide stereo sound.

I have the Naida and the iCom. If the input source is Stereo then you will hear in Stereo with the iCom. If the sound source is monaural then you will hear the sound in both ears (if you have two HA's) as binaural. The BT is both Stereo and binaural depending on the sound source. When I listen to my iPhone in iPod mode it's Stereo, when I use the BT for the iPhone phone it's binaural.

The Oticon streamer is truly mono only but can stream the same singal to both ears (binaural). The iCom/uDirect is stereo for any audioinput except for phone where the transmission in mono as the phone mic is only mono. The Siemens Tek is also a stereo device.

They should, but they don't. Out here in the West, it's a long ways to the next guy. I'm already driving 150 miles one-way just for a simple adjustment.

TV is extremely low on my priority list. All I have hooked up is a DVD player- no cable, no satellite, no antenna. I'll typically practice guitar while reading the closed captioning, or listen to mp3 music while riding the exercise bike while reading the closed captioning.

Cell phone would be my #1 priority, followed by mp3 music, followed by landline phone.

I'll keep my eyes open for a test unit.

In that case any of the 3 manufacturers will work well. Can they not even demo one on your Cell Phone? Surely they must know that keeping your clients happy is the secret to success.
