Cleaning Kits
I just bought an Acu-Life hearing aid cleaning kit. It has 5 attachments for different purposes. Is this a recommended cleaning kit or is there a better choice out there?

Little update on this Acu-Life hearing aid cleaning kit. It is very nice. Has 5 tools, and 2 storage spots for an extra set of batteries. For $10 delivered to the door is an excellent value.

Where did you purchase this kit?
My HIS told me to mix 1 to 1 measures of 409 and water to make an antibacterial cleaning solution for my HA. DO NOT put the HA in the solution, spray a little on a cloth and gently clean the HA...

I bought the kit off eBay. It is not an anti-bacterial cleaner, it is small gadgets for brushing and probing out wax and dirt or whatever from small nooks and crannies of the aids.

Disposable Cleaning Brushes
I have a cleaning kit supplied with my new Starkey CIC's. Adequate, but it contains nothing suitable for cleaning the inside of the vents properly. I, by accident, discovered that I could use interdental cleaning brushes to clean the HA's. They are available in several sizes so you can select a suitable brush for your HA's. Best of all, throw them away when they are dirty and worn ! See www.jordan.no/en/dental-care for an example of these brushes. I am sure there are other makes available as well.
