Be sure to let us know how things worked out. While you're waiting you may want to check out this website.

Don
I just received that same amp and hooked it up to the "chair loop" that came with the Loop America system and it worked good, but when I hooked to the regular loop in my living room (90 ft.) NO SOUND at all. The 90 ft. loop is looped through the floor joists in the basement under the living room and it works great with the amp that came with the Loop America system. I need some help - please

tevz32, trying to troubleshoot a problem like this is nearly impossible via the internet. I wish I had a quick answer for you but there are simply too many variables. I am sorry.

Problem solved: when I tried the new amp with the existing loop I used the power supply from the existing loop, no sound. After thinking about it I realized the only thing that was really different was the power supply -sooo - I plugged in the power supply that came with the new amp - Wallaa, sound! I thought any power supply would work as long as it lit up the amp, and it did, but did not produce sound. Still learning.

One problem solved, another raises its ugly head. Same amp, same power supply, different TV. This tv is a Vizio 22" with a Comcast cable box. The only way I can get sound to my aids is to connect the RCA cables from the amp to the cable box which means I cannot control the volume or mute with the remote. If I connect the RCA's to the TV audio out, no sound to the aids. Any ideas?

I am very interested in setting up my own loop system, but I am not sure that my hearing aids have telecoils. They are Bernafon Veras 9 CPs purchased from Costco. The manual is useless on the subject of telecoils. One-half page refers you to another page that has configuration check boxes, and that's it. There is absolutely no information in the manual about how to use telecoils, if I even have them.

If I do have telecoils, are they automatic? (I don't seem to have a switch anywhere.) I don't hear any difference when I use a telephone.

Telecoil is not usually automatic. Normally there is a switch on your aids or remote. Call your audi or provider.

If your HA's have a telecoil with no t-switch it will have to be activated by your audiologist before it will work.

You might have to go through the TV menu and make sure it is really putting out sound the the TV out connection.
